Individual Therapy 

Heal from past wounds and build your soul for the future. I strive to support you in lifelong change that frees you to form healthy, sustainable relationships and an overall sense of wellbeing. Therapy is a practical tool for overcoming the emotional struggles that arise in your life: such as feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, or depressed. Therapy can help identify the root causes of what is holding you back, while teaching you coping skills along the way.

How Does Individual Therapy Work?
Establishing a relationship with your therapist is the foundation to the therapeutic process. During the first few sessions, I will begin to understand your story, while continually maintaining an environment of safety and trust. From these conversations, you will begin to set goals, consider strategies to use in your life, and identify helpful resources. You are in charge of the areas you want to focus on, and you set the pace of the sessions.  

Couples Therapy

Conflict in relationships

All couples experience some degree of conflict in their relationships. The trick is to address those conflicts together and to not let your less-loving interactions characterize you.

Couples therapy can assist you in gaining insight into your relationship dynamics, stop ineffective communication patterns, and repair deep-rooted emotional wounds.
  

Family Stability

Family relationships are complicated

Navigating the tides of family relationships is an essential part of everyday life. Sometimes, things are working great. Other times, we become so entangled in unhelpful family dynamics, that we need an outside perspective to help sort through our patterns. That’s where family therapy comes in.

How Family Therapy Works
Depending on the areas you want to focus on, I may work with one family member individually, and when appropriate, invite all members of the family to participate in a session. The family is a systemic unit, and what is impacting open person, ultimately impacts the whole. Sometimes in our relationships, we just get stuck. We will work on recognizing your individual and shared strengths, in order to work through these barriers.  It is important for every member to feel validated and our ultimate goal is to find new ways to love and support each other.
